Morgana Moon
Morgana Moon is a devoted mother, musician, and is passionate about spreading joy through music, art, and activism. Morgana is founder and show producer/director of variety show Rhythm & Pep, which is locally known as "the gayest variety show in town." When she’s not performing, Morgana loves hiking, writing poetry, and spending quality time with her family.
Morgana grew up in the time of low-rise jeans, size 10 being considered plus size, and constantly bombarded with the myths of diet culture in mainstream media. As so many others did, she lost years of her life to hating her body. Shopping as a plus size person was a frustrating experience, or worse, humiliating. Morgana has since traded the humiliation for joy, fully embracing her curves. With the support of her friends and communities, including the queer and performing arts communities, she has rediscovered the true essence of loving herself, regardless of her shape or size. This journey of self-love transcends the physical; it involves nurturing mental and spiritual health and becoming a positive force within our community. To love our bodies fully, we must also care for our inner selves and uplift those around us.
